• Favorite Restaurant - I am always on the hunt for great bites, right now I’m eating French cuisine, the slow food movement, whole foods, sustainable agriculture.
• Where I can be found on a Friday night - Having a lounge night or dance night, wherever the wind blows me.
• What I love most about being a stylist – Staying true to my craft and passion for fashion, art, community, and transformation.
• Favorite hairstyle - The Super Model free flowing billowy tresses cut into romantic layers for long to medium lengths. Working trendy styles into my men’s cut’s, and keeping them work friendly and user friendly. Coloring my clients with rich conditioning shades, and keeping hair healthy above all else.
• Favorite hair product that we carry - Alterna’s Caviar line. It’s my saving grace & smells amazing.
• Pets - I have two dogs Dickens, and Hamlet half Pomeranian and half Maltese mix.
• Other interests - Travel, I love the outdoors, living in one of the best places for camping, hiking, and exploring. I love hosting events, fashion shows, and friends gathering together. I’m very close with my family, and feel blessed to have that.

Bio
Emily had a well-traveled childhood growing up in Panama and Germany before moving to Seattle at age 10. Perhaps inspired by this exposure to diverse communities at an early age, Emily was quickly drawn in the direction of art and style. Deciding to express this passion through hair, she started her career and training in hair styling with Paul Mitchell directly out of high school.

Inspired by fashion, Emily has constantly sought to develop a cutting edge style that compliments her clients looks. Over the years she has also engaged with the fashion community working closely with the Zebra Club fashion boutique and local private designers. Naturally, Emily has happily been at home on Capitol Hill for 7 years, working previously at City Hair on Broadway before moving to her current home at Emerson Salon. With the hill’s collection of hipsters and artists, Emily feels solidarity with the community and the clientele she keeps.

Emily has a special talent for Baliage color techniques and also specializes in men’s high fashion and work hair styles, and Bombshell Blondes. With Emily’s artistic influences combined with her many years of experience, Emily has become a master at producing fashionable and hip hairstyles. With her artist’s eye, she constantly re-invents her craft through education and the changing influences of fashion and style.
